Clothed in mist and silver
at the end of the path
Drenched in burning crimson
at the fall of dusk
My secret, my heart and my tongue
is a lambent flame of blue
Wild, furious and blinding
with tainted words I breakthrough
Eyes skulk at my coming
in absolute darkness
Like drifting stars
in a tapestry devoid of light
In the midst of stillness
I dare to listen
Through trembling stones
the groans of your bones resound
The gates are open
at the end of the path
Circles within circles
that burns in the sand
Monuments
standing before me
at the threshold of all
Eternally awaiting
where horizons dissolve
Deafening shrieks
cut through the night
A night without masks
where time will be confined

Great, versatile black metal with detail aplenty. Some songs are surprisingly upbeat at times - e.g. Carve My Name, before dropping into claustrophobic dissonance and ultimately exquisite atmosphere - while other songs come along as frenetic and apoplectic throughout. Then there's the dismal piano: presaging impending doom, gracefully placed in the middle of the album and interlaced with its successor. Let alone the closing track. This album will pull you deep into the currents of its misery. David Fischer
The Belgian band explore heavy psych, tribal rhythms, free-jazz freakouts, meditative drone and the vast, shadowy spaces in between. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 22, 2020

Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
